MTG with DRRMO of Mandaue City, Cebu Province [Philippines]
June 27, 2018 –SEEDS Asia met the newly appointed DRRM Officer of Mandaue City, Mr. Jay Basubas. SEEDS Asia briefly introduced the current DRR Management project as well as the project updates by showing a newsletter and completion report of the DRR Education project of SEEDS Asia. DRRM Office of Mandaue City found the project beneficial and that School DRRM is already included in their 2 years development plan particularly in the area of emergency response.
June 28, 2018 –Meeting between SEEDS Asia and Cebu Provincial DRRM Office (PDRRMO) happened and there were positive responses from their agency on the SEEDS Asia’s activities in collaboration with PDRRMO. Mr. Balthazar Tribulano, PDRRMO Chief mentioned that their office already initiated the distribution of School DRRM IEC materials to some schools. Discussion during the meeting includes the Memorandum of Understanding which is now for review in the council meeting.
