On November 8th, SEEDS Asia conducted a Safety inspection at Daanbantayan Central Elementary School, Pilot school in the Department of Education (DepEd) Cebu Province Division, using Checklists crafted by the Pilot school. DepEd Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Coordinators, Local Government Unit DRRM Office, Community, Parent Teacher Association, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police also participated. Japan International Cooperation Agency also witnessed the activity, and interviewed teachers. The school will further improve Safety inspection checklists based on comments of stakeholders.
