Safety Inspection in Cebu City, Toledo City [Philippines]
On March 28th, Cebu City Central Elementary School in Department of Education (DepEd) Cebu City Division conducted on orientation for Safety inspection to teachers and Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Team explained the importance of Safety inspection and how to use the checklists which they crafted. The school will conduct a Safety inspection within April. On April 1st, Talevera Elementary School from DepEd Toledo City Division conducted a Safety inspection. They have already given an orientation to participants prior to the inspection. DepEd Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Coordinator, Division engineer, teachers, PTA, Supreme Pupil Government, City DRRM Office, Office of the Building Official, Community, Philippine National Police, and Bureau of Fire Protection participated. The school will make action plans for improvements based on the inspection.
