Towards Safer Communities.
SEEDS Asia takes an integrated and interlinked approach to disaster management and environmental conservation within the overall umbrella of human security, to ensure safer communities in the Asia Pacific region.
A registered non-profit organization
located in Kobe, Japan, members of SEEDS Asia come from a broad
range of backgrounds that are collectively pooled to promote
community-based disaster management.

>Team starts needs assessment in affected Iwate and Miyagi Prefecture After 3 weeks since the disaster, needs of the the affected community has been shifting. Three experts from SEEDS Asia left for the affected Tohoku area today to understand situation in less supported areas, collaboration of municipalities and NGOs, rehabilitation of livelihood and Disaster Risk Reduction practice in order to reformulate our support plan to best suit the needs of the affected(Supported by Japan Platform) (1st April,2011)
>From July 2010 we began project Learn Disaster Risk Reduction through Come and Touch MKRC&WKRC in Yangon and Ayeyarwardy Divisions in Myanmar'(Supported by Japan Platform) (23rd July,2010)
>Opening ceremony of Water Knowledge Resource Center was held in May by inviting government officials, teachers and students, and reported on Myanmar newspaper.(14 June 2010)
>Vietnam project was introduced at the website of Central committee for flood and storm control in Vietnam. (3rd June 2010)
