On August 26, 2016, 9 people from Minami Sanriku Town and Kesennuma City, 18 people from Tamba, and 3 staff members of SEEDS Asia visited Kobe City and Kyoto City as DRR education training. In the morning, Kobe Fire Department gave a lecture on Bosai Fukushi Community (BOKOMI) that is a voluntary organization for disaster risk management in Kobe City. In the afternoon, the party visited Takakura Elementary School in Kyoto City to learn DRR education in cooperation with communities by Smile 21 Committee that is the school management committee of the school. This was a very nice opportunity to have an exchange on experiences of DRR education among Kyoto, Tamba, Minami Sanriku and Kesennuma. We appreciate for participants and collaborators.
