DRR classes in Tamba【Japan】

On June 14, two schools in Tamba City conducted respective DRR classes. At Sakiyama E.S., 3rd graders listened to community members talk about their initiatives to make their community a better place after the rainfall disaster in 2014. It was an open school day at Ogawa E.S., where 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th graders experienced DRR Education including lectures using “Kokoro-Tsunagu (Bridging Hearts)” which was made by Tamba Board of Education and SEEDS Asia.

The ladies in pink shirts are the members of a group engaged in community revitalization through cooking and eating!

Great research and preparation by Ogawa E.S. teachers to make use of “Kokoro-Tsunagu”.
