Tamba City Promotion Signing【Japan】
On November 22, the signing ceremony between SEEDS Asia and Tamba City on City Promotion Partnership Project was held. Through this Project, SEEDS Asia will aim at community development through “DRR Study Tours” where the great attractions of the City will be introduced to outside people. The Mayor Mr. Taniguchi said: “SEEDS Asia has striven for Asia’s resilience from disasters. I hope their expertise will be fully made use of for Tamba City.” Representing SEEDS Asia, the Executive Director expressed the organization’s commitment saying: “Though media’s attention to Tamba City’s 2014 disaster was not fully paid due to its relatively small casualty, we should learn not only from tragedies but also from good practices of past disasters. With learning opportunities about DRR, we would like to trigger visitors’ interest to the abundant resources of the City.”, in addition to SEEDS Asia’s Board Chairman’s video message.
