International Day for DRR
13th October is the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction as designated by the United Nations. Additionally, this day coincides with the Memorial Day of Typhoon Hagibis in East Japan (2019).
Around the world, ceremonies and events for raising awareness are taking place to reduce the damage caused by disasters.
In this slideshow, we will showcase how the people in the Philippines, Bangladesh and Myanmar observe or commemorate this day, including past years.
