Media RELEASE: The Kick-off Workshop in Varanasi [India]
IESD/BHU and SEEDS Asia announce that we hold the Kick-off Workshop for ‘Participatory Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction Approaches in Varanasi’ in the morning on November 16, 2015 at the Convention Center in BHU campus. The workshop is to share the project overview under the Kyoto Varanasi Partner City Affiliation agreement and discuss the project activities and expected outcomes.
The project is to promote Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change (CC) education based on actual measurements and based on the result to promote DRR awareness activities by school and communities. The project is to be facilitated jointly by SEEDS Asia, Japanese registered NPO, and Institute of Environment and IESD/BHU with the cooperation of local schools which are identified as Climate School and surrounding communities and schools.
