Completion reporting to JICA [Bangladesh + Philippines]

On 16th October, we participated in an online reporting session with JICA personnel to review and share the summary of outputs, good practices and lessons learned from two JICA Grassroots Projects implemented by SEEDS Asia in Bangladesh and the Philippines. Both projects were extensively supported by numerous persons and organizations, from the project formulation stage to completion of the projects.
We are grateful to a wide range of people and organizations – all the local communities, school personnel and government agency officials and other stakeholders in the respective countries, and in Japan, staff members from the Hyogo Prefectural Board of Education, expert teachers (the Emergency And Rescue Team by school staff in Hyogo), the Kobe Shimbun Newspaper, hosts of Japan Study Visits (local government units, fire services, schools and voluntary disaster management organizations of Kobe City, Kyoto City, Tatsuno City, Minami-awaji City and Tamba City), and JICA personnel in Japan and overseas.
SEEDS Asia is appreciative of the fact that the networks and disaster risk reduction practitioners established and trained in the projects are proactively serving their respective communities, including issues related to infection control and relief activities arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to work with communities and individuals to reduce risk and make them more resilient to disasters. Your continued support and guidance will always be very much appreciated!
