Project conclusion, but it is a beginning …[Bangladesh]

Recently, teachers at Lalmatia Housing Society School and college conducted disaster risk reduction lessons on six topics: air pollution, fires, earthquakes, lightening, infectious diseases and WASH, and climate change for their students.

It was the first time for both teachers and students to organize DRR lessons at the school. In the lessons, teachers discussed mechanisms of the disaster, response, and preparedness action that they had learned from SEEDS Asia’s DRR training. They also introduced recent disaster cases in Dhaka.

With these lessons, SEEDS Asia’s school-based community DRR project, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Japan was concluded. It has been a wonderful learning experience, and our sincere thanks to all our local partners and your warm support, with whom we were able to implement DRR projects where they were needed most. Thank you very much! With your continued support, we will endeavour to further our efforts to make communities resilient!
