Courtesy call to Talisay City Mayor [Philippines]
On 27th March, SEEDS Asia paid a courtesy visit to Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas.
SEEDS Asia introduced our projects in the Philippines and shared our willingness to have more collaborations with Talisay City Local Government Unit (LGU) in our disaster risk reduction projects. We appreciate Mayor Gullas’ warm welcome and kind understanding in support for our projects.
SEEDS Asia believes that collaboration with local communities is necessary for achieving effective school-based disaster risk reduction. We will continue to strengthen partnerships with LGUs under Region VII for the ongoing project on “Strengthening and Promoting School-based Disaster Risk Reduction in Central Visayas, Philippines,” which was funded by JICA.
